Piezo technology naturally occuring in crystal, when crystals are subjected to a mechanical 'push' force or stress, produces an electrical output which is transduced through electronic circuitry for switching (MosFet), Piezoelectric switches are solid-state devices and require no external power source. Switches are resistant to dirt, water and are suitable for harsh environments. Because switches have no moving parts, there is no risk of malfunction due to abuse.

Unlike an electromechanical switch that has moving contacts and other parts that will eventually wear out, as well as suffer the life shortening effects of pitting, corrosion, contact bounce, and contamination, piezo switches offer many advantages. Piezo switches have no moving parts, are waterproof and are impervious to other types of contamination and are unaffected by EMI or RFI. This results in a switch that has a life expectancy in excess of 50 million cycles with exception to piezo switches with tactile feedback that have a spring rated to 5 million cycles.

RW Components switches are NO( MOM), and ON/OFF functions. Switches are rated at 0-24VDC and illuminated at 5, 12 and 24 VDC and have switch resistance less than 10 ohms. Standard models are 12mm, 16 and 22mm and 30mm round and square configurations, with or without L.E.D. illumination. Housings are available in 316 stainless steel or anodized aluminum. The aluminum housing body is available in many anodizing colors and L.E.D. standard colors are (red/green and red/blue).

No Illumination - Mounting bushings are 12, 16, 19, 22 and 30mm with flat or rises top. Material 316 stainless steel or anodized aluminum.

 

With Ring Illumination - Mounting bushings are 12, 16, 19, 22 and 30mm with flat or rises top. Material 316 stainless steel or anodized aluminum. Standard illumination 5, 12, and 24 VDC dual illumination or triple.

 

 With Ring Illumination and Tactile Feedback - Mounting bushings are 12, 16, 19, 22 and 30mm with rises top. Material 316 stainless steel or anodized aluminum. Standard illumination 5, 12 and 24 VDC.

 

 Full Face Illumination and Tactile Feedback - Mounting bushings are 19, 22, and 30mm with flat or rises top. Material 316 stainless steel or anodized aluminum. Standard illumination 5, 12 and 24 VDC.

 

 With Ring Illumination and Build in Relay - Mounting bushings are 19, 22, and 30mm with flat or rises top. Material 316 stainless steel or anodized aluminum. Required - 24 VDC. Relay Form C (Blue wire/Yellow wire/Blue wire) - NO/COMM/NC. Contact rating - 1A. Switching voltage - 125 VAC, 60 VDC- Max.
